MOVE / PRIVACY

Your movement. Your data.

Last updated October 23, 2026. This policy covers Move for iPhone and anothermovement.app, operated by Timothy Stewart Briggs. Questions: hello@anothermovement.app.

On your iPhone

Move stores your profile, movement history, reported soreness, preferences, and a cached movement library on your device. Your reported body area and recent activity help choose your routine. Where available, Apple’s on-device model can help select movements. Move does not send this routine-building context to an external AI service.

Apple sign-in and iCloud

Apple sign-in provides an app-specific identifier, stored in your device’s Keychain. If Apple supplies your name, Move can use your first name for your profile. Move does not request your Apple password or email address. Your device’s iCloud account is separate from Apple sign-in.

Move syncs your name, avatar choices, routine preferences, and completed routine identifiers, dates, and durations to your private CloudKit database. This lets your Move data follow your iCloud account. Apple operates iCloud under its own privacy terms. Move’s internal movement editor does not access your private profile or routine history.

To finish an account deletion request, Move asks you to confirm the same Apple account. Our server processes a fresh Apple authorization code, identity token, and one-time verification value to revoke Move’s Apple sign-in connection. These authentication values are used for verification and revocation only; Move does not store them or include them in app analytics.

Apple Health

Apple Health is optional. With permission, Move reads recent workout types and dates to shape your routine and can save completed routines as preparation and recovery workouts. Move uses this information for the movement experience, never advertising. Health workout data and soreness reports are not included in app analytics or marketing emails. You can change read and write permissions for Move in the Health app or iPhone Settings.

App usage

Move records events such as opening the app, onboarding steps, player controls, and routine completion to understand which parts of the app work. Events include a screen name, time, build number, session identifier, and installation identifier. CloudKit also associates records with the creating iCloud account. These records are for internal analytics, not cross-app tracking. Event payloads do not include your name, workout details, selected body area, or soreness level.

The waitlist and support

Joining the waitlist provides your email address and consent time, stored with our site hosting provider. We use these for Move beta and launch updates. If we send updates, our email service processes your email address to deliver them. We do not add you to unrelated mailing lists. You can unsubscribe through an email or contact us to remove your waitlist address.

If you email support, we use your message and contact details to respond. Please avoid sending sensitive health information in email.

Retention and your choices

Local data remains until it is removed from the device. Synced data can remain in iCloud after the app is removed. You can manage Move’s iCloud storage through your Apple account’s iCloud settings. Workouts saved to Apple Health remain in Health until you remove them there. Signing out of Move does not by itself delete saved data.

Use Profile → Delete account in Move to request removal of your local and iCloud profile and movement history, and the internal usage records associated with your iCloud account. Move also revokes its Apple sign-in connection. If the process is interrupted, Move keeps the minimum identity and deletion progress needed to resume it and blocks new account saves until it finishes. Account deletion does not remove workouts already saved in Apple Health or a separate waitlist subscription.

For help accessing or removing Move data, including internal usage records or waitlist information, contact hello@anothermovement.app. We will verify requests before deleting account-related records. Apple controls its own account, backup, and service retention.

No advertising tracking

Move does not sell personal data, display advertising, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites. Health and movement information is not used to target marketing.

Changes

We update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. Material changes will be explained in the app or through an appropriate notice.
